Truth (dubstep) and Shredexx

The snow is falling much harder than words fall onto my computer screen ever highlighting my inability to focus on the work I need to. Perfect time for an Eclectrix post. Nonetheless, at least back in the real world music is thriving and getting up to it's usual tricks, and I really can not wait until 'Eclectrix Radio' starts back up in 2 weeks.

Truth, the dubstep consortium described as "New Zealand's greatest dubstep export", provide a fluid perspective on genre, melding southern hemisphere attitude with technical proficiency.

Tracklisting:

Truth - The Fatman VIP
The Upbeats - Macabre
Truth - Invaded
Kryptic Minds - Badman
Truth - Burglar

Their new single coming soon!
"Hackers" on Boka

As always, friend of the show, Shredexx, has been busy this festive period. Blending up a New Year cocktail with some simply incredible ingredients! Big, bad and bold, this mix is liquid nitrogen!

Ever illustrating his versatility, here are a couple tracks from the man himself. Literally righ off the vine, indulge yourself.

Work Anthem!

Another funkalicious tune with a twist of sass. See you in the a.m. London... 2 weeks until Eclectrix Radio is back on the air!!!

New Year... Old tricks

Let's kick off 2010 with a look back at what was good in 1982... that makes sense right? Remember 'The Scene', the techno/dance show from Detroit? A friend of mine showed me this a while ago and it really seems like something we should be doing now! MTV/VH1... whatever you watch, surely there should be an electronic version of this show... Eclectrix TV???... hmmm

'Sharevari' - A Number of Names

I've been in Germany for the past 2 weeks for Christmas and New Year. Not quite as grandiose and spectacular as it sounds. Think mountains, forests and rain, but a couple tracks that keep me boppin'

Royksopp - Happy Up Here (Breakbot Remix)

Kavinsky - Teastarossa Autodrive (SebastiAn Remix)

Missy Elliot - Lose Control (Mr. Oizo Bootleg)

and a sultry little number lifted from Diplo's Fabric fandango...
The Cure - Lovesong (Diplo Remix)

Eclectrix Show 6 - Merry Xmas from Eclectrix

Season's Greetings (to borrow one of those horrific phrases)

A rather helter skelter show this week... The last of the year, but by no means least. A combination of no DJ Francoise (due to the highly successful poetry/art/music event titled Clinic that was happening later that evening (he runs it) and me playing with a certain artist by the name of Jamie N Commons at Clinic shortly after the show) meant we had limited resources... but that didn't stop us! Rad Xmas Remixes galore, Goldsmith's Bass Society's Oli Conway dropped by, a Lemmy Ashton exclusive remix of Tubelord. Lemmy Ashton's 'Mix-Up Medley' plus a guest mix from Selective Pressure's Lookleft
